On Monday, September 14th, a man named Scott called us at Light of Life because he needed food and clothes for him and his 12-year old son. Our Street Outreach staff invited him to come to our Donation Center to retrieve the items needed.

A self-described “hot mess,” Kevin had no family in Pittsburgh. He was living on the streets of the North Side and he was an addict. He even went through ten months of culinary school but was unable to finish because he relapsed and got arrested. That was before he walked through the doors of Light of Life.
Brittani is a mom in our Women & Children’s Program who came to Light of Life in January 2017. Before coming to Light of Life, she struggled with addiction for almost 20 years.

On Thursday, June 13th, we held our summer graduation ceremony. Twice a year, our staff, alumni, clients and families come together to honor those who have successfully completed our programs. We were thrilled to celebrate clients from the Men’s Recovery Program, Women & Children’s Program, and for the first time this year, the Outreach Program.
Nicole loves being a mother. She came to Light of Life after struggling with addiction recovery and losing her house in a fire. Nicole is a mother of two daughters, aged 14 and 5, and ever since joining the Women’s Recovery Program, she sees the difference that God makes in those relationships.
