Light of Life is a community where broken people are transformed by the hope in Christ that life can be better tomorrow. We radiate life by empathizing with the needs of the communities we serve, partnering in the healing process, as we share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and make spirit-filled disciples.
Core Values
Jesus Christ is Our Foundation
No one can lay any foundation, other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:11) We accept the person, teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ as the foundation of our ministry to the poor and homeless.
All Persons Have Dignity and Worth
God formed each of us; we are fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:13, 14) Therefore, we will strive to treat everyone—clients, staff, donors, board members, and all partners and stakeholders—as we would if Jesus were present.
Integrity Before God and Man
So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God. (Romans 14:12) We will actively promote the highest level of integrity. Internally, we will ask ourselves, “Would we be embarrassed if our actions were made public?”
Relentless Pursuit of Excellence
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord, not men. (Colossians 3:23) We are drawn to excellence as a loving response to what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross. We recognize the need to employ the most efficient business practices possible and to base future actions upon valid research as well as prayer.
