Whether paralyzed by the grip of addiction, poverty, mental health issues or any combination of these, homeless men hunger for hope. At Light of Life, hope materializes through the integration of faith principles throughout every facet of recovery.
Spanning a 9–18 month course of care, Light of Life’s residential recovery program for men addresses their needs holistically in a structured, Christ-centered environment.
Another aspect of recovery includes helping men develop self-awareness and set goals. When men are not engaged in counseling or work therapy they are able to spend “down” time reading, playing instruments, working out at the YMCA or participating in a local sports league comprised of teams from area agencies. Connection to a church family and activities to enhance social skills and spiritual growth also play an integral role in each man’s recovery.
